Based on the novel of the same name, authored by Ruth Ware and published in 2016, the 2025 Netflix film The Woman in Cabin 10 is a psychological "thriller".

Keira Knightley stars as Laura "Lo" Blacklock, an award-winning journalist traumatized by witnessing the murder of her source. Her editor, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, encourages her to take some time off. Despite her editor's advice, Blacklock accepts an invitation to cover a gala for a new cancer foundation founded by Richard and Anna Bullmere. Guy Pearce portrays Richard Bullmere, a character reminiscent of his previous roles as a wealthy, brilliant, and sadistic figure, similar to his performances in Memento, The Brutalist, Prometheus, The Count of Monte Cristo, and Iron Man.

We love you, Guy, but enough is enough with this archetype.

Directed by Simon Stone, The Woman in Cabin 10 is a visually stunning film with solid direction and commendable performances. It's an enjoyable watch overall. You won't be mad at the end, and you may enjoy, as I did, the genuine star of this movie: Savannah, the 274-foot superyacht named Aurora Borealis in the movie.

Ya, these billionaires know a thing or two about luxury. Sporting an infinity pool, day spa, hair salon, gym, dining room(s!), an expansive library and luxury suites that a millionaire would be jealous of, Savannah is the best part of The Woman in Cabin 10 and deserves her own Emmy.
