Lupin, a French-language Netflix original series, is a modern take on Maurice Leblanc's 1950 novels featuring protagonist Arsène Lupin, a French thief and Sherlock Holmes nemesis. In the television series, Omar Sy plays Assane Diop, a modern day thief, with the brilliant arrogance found in Holmes and Lupin.

Diop's father (framed for stealing his employer's diamond necklace) gifted the young Diop a Maurice Leblanc novel featuring Lupin. It's this novel that Diop uses as a blueprint to avenge his father's death and clear his name.

There are currently three seasons (with a fourth scheduled to be released in 2026) of the award-winning and record-breaking series.

Lupin was the first French series to reach the top ten ranking by US audiences and deserves every one of the four out of five stars.
