Okay. I'm going to need ya to stop what you're doing and turn on Hulu and watch the first episode of Furious.
It's an American crime drama created by Elizabeth Meriwether (New Girl, No Strings Attached, Dying for Sex). This show demands your attention.
Emmy Rossum (Shameless) stars as FBI agent Alice Black. She's messy.
I'm not sure yet, but I think she enjoys creating chaos in order to feel in control of who she really is. That chaos has led her to her new job as an FBI call center operator.
When suddenly she's requested by a former coworker to put eyes on a new homicide case: an apparent overdose of a billionaire's son.
The first episode of this series introduces you not only to Rossum's character (powerful performance from Rossum, of course) but also to her former co-worker John "Scoot" McNairy (Halt and Catch Fire), her former partner at NYPD (outstanding performance from him) and the nuanced portrayal of Quincy Tyler Bernstine as Nora, the head of the FBI's sex crimes unit. But it's the performance of Lola Petticrew as Catherine Grace that starves the room of oxygen.
This is a must-see. Five out of five stars. Don't be stupid. Go watch it.
