OK, you're right. Any military movie with full-frontal shower scenes gets an automatic five out of five stars from me. Go read The New York Times' reviews if you want objectivity with that many guns on display.
Released just this past October 9th, 2025, Netflix's military drama Boots is a laugh out loud must see. Starring openly gay actors Miles Heizer and Max Parker as Cameron Cope and Sergeant Liam Robert Sullivan, respectively, Boots is based on the memoir by Greg Cope White titled The Pink Marine. White is also an executive producer on the series.
With only eight episodes in the first season, Matt and I are treating the show like a fine wine: sipping it, but there's no doubt we'll hit the bottom of the bottle before we want to leave. It's a true coming-of-age and coming-out story that will not only make you laugh and cringe but cry big faggoty tears. You'll love it, or at least your browser history suggests you will.
Five out of five stars.
